Acting (MA)
Train in the fundamentals of film acting in our MA program. This is a streamlined approach to the technical, physical and vocal skills needed to work as on-camera actor in film and television. The program also focuses on contemporary audition technique and fundamental script analysis skills. You will graduate from the MA program with a demo reel and an acting website showcasing your unique skills and professional readiness.

MA ACTING DEGREE REQUIREMENTS
- Successful completion of Final Portfolio Review
- Minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA
- Minimum grade of C in all required 36 units

- Demonstrate sufficient vocal flexibility and range to play a variety of characters

- Make performance choices that affect and are affected by other people in a scene
- Successfully make specific adjustments based on direction
Professional Readiness
- Present an industry standard demo reel
- Demonstrate professionalism and preparedness (scripts analyzed and memorized, punctuality, respect for another actor’s creative process in rehearsal, a strong work ethic, attitude, full commitment)
Academy of Art University Learning Outcomes
